Support

Support is a mandatory part of becoming a tenant in a supported housing setting. Support will be given on a weekly basis by the tenants assigned support worker. Residents will undergo an assessment of needs and risk. Weekly support will be compulsory for all residents in order to adhere to their tenancy agreement. Four hours of weekly support will be given in conjunction with residents support plans, which consist of personal goals and objectives, set out by themselves during the assessment stage; as milestones are met new ones will replace them. Support is reviewed 12 monthly, earlier if resident’s circumstances change. Tenants will undergo an initial assessment shortly followed by an induction. A personalised support plan will then be created to suit each tenants needs. Each week tenants will be expected to work alongside their support worker to achieve personal goals. Housing management will also offer generalised housing support. Support goals may vary from addressing debts to learning daily living skills.

wellbeing activities

Tenants and management at Kardia work together to organise quarterly events.

Activities may include – cinema, bowling, meals out, baking, museum visits

and theme park days. Inclusion in social activities is hugely beneficial to tenants and their wellbeing which is why we encourage participation. However it's the tenants choice and not all activities may be to everyone liking.

We encourage our residents to work alongside staff to plan a yearly holiday, whether that be with other residents, friends or family. Planning a holiday not only gives our residents something to look forward to but also encourages independence.
